Welcome to My Dealer Jacket

Welcome to My Dealer Jacket, the all-in-one solution for used auto dealers! Our platform is designed to help you:

  • Issue Temporary Tags through direct integration with FLHSMV’s ETR system
  • Transfer License Plates quickly and easily for newly purchased vehicles
  • Generate Deal Jackets and produce ready-to-sign sales documents
  • Manage Prepaid Credits to streamline billing for all your transactions

Follow the steps below to get up and running with My Dealer Jacket.

Step 1: Complete Your Dealer Profile

Before you can issue temp tags or transfer plates, we need to verify your dealership details:

  1. Upload your Dealer License, and FEIN via Settings > Tax and License Numbers.
  2. Provide your dealer’s physical and mailing address, email, and phone.
  3. Once verified, you’ll receive 40 free credits to start issuing registrations and printing deal jackets.

Step 2: Complete Your User Profile

Each user in your dealership should provide:

  1. Full Name (first and last)
  2. Phone Number
  3. Date of Birth
  4. Driver License (upload for verification)

By completing these steps, you’ll have the necessary permissions to manage dealership transactions and registrations. For additional help, see Managing User Profiles.

Step 3: Get Access to Registrations

Once your profile is verified, you can access the Registrations menu to:

  • Issue Temporary Tags
  • Transfer Metal Plates
  • Issue Pre-Printed Temporary Tags
  • Generate Title and Registration Quotes

Step 4: Add Vehicles to Your Inventory

Keep track of all vehicles under your dealership by adding them to the Vehicles tab. This ensures streamlined deal jacket generation and easy plate transfers. Learn more in Adding and Managing Vehicles.

Step 5: Add Customers

Create customer records to store contact details, driver license information, and any other relevant data for your sales. See Adding Customer Information for step-by-step instructions.

Step 6: Create Your First Deal Jacket

A deal jacket (or transfer) combines all the necessary documentation for a sale:

  1. Vehicle details
  2. Buyer/co-buyer data
  3. Lienholder info (if applicable)
  4. Pricing, taxes, and fees

When ready, print the documents for signing and submit them to the tax collector. Get started with Introduction to Deal Jackets.

Step 7: Invite Your Team

Have multiple users in your dealership? Invite them to collaborate, manage registrations, and work on deal jackets together. Learn how in Adding or Removing Users.

Step 8: Purchase Credits

Once you run out of free credits, you'll need to add more to continue issuing registrations and printing deal jackets. Go to Settings > Billing > Credits to top up your account. For more info, check out Purchasing Additional Credits.
